To convert both PDF and OpenRally GPX roadbooks into the format compatible with the oMo digital roadbook, we use the free Roadbook JCropper program, which can be downloaded directly from here.
To function correctly, it requires the installation of Java (JRE version 19 or higher) which can be downloaded here.
It works on all systems that support Java, whether Windows, Mac, or Linux.
This software was born from the desire of some enthusiasts to continue using another digital roadbook, no longer supported by the manufacturer; therefore the file format it produces is also compatible with the CoMaster digital roadbook.
The software is aimed at end users of the oMo electronic roadbook, so that anyone who holds the rights to a particular route is able to generate the file themselves for use with the device.
It may be of equally interest to organizers who allow riders equipped with the oMo roadbook to participate in their competitions: to this end, it also has encryption options in order to comply with the obligations of non-disclosure and secrecy of the route, where imposed.
In the not too distant future, files with the .GPX extension compatible with the OpenRally format will be supported natively by the tool, but until then a small conversion step is required.
